I've had unpleasant experiences with rug dealers in the past. What makes floordesign different?
We are not a typical rug dealer in many ways. When you visit you will immediately notice that every single rug has a price tag. Some dealers don't price their rugs, and the price quoted can be influenced by the car you drive up in or the jewelry you wear into their store. Perhaps you've been offered a rug and when you mention it's the wrong color or too expensive, the price immediately begins to drop. As a trade showroom, we have client relationships dating back over 25 years - it's in our best interest to treat all our customers equitably. We have one price; every item in our showroom carries a barcode, and the computer printout reflects the wholesale trade price. There is no pressure to buy. You can expect a warm welcome and a very pleasant shopping experience based on what you really want.

Who are your clients?
To purchase you must be an interior designer, architect, general contractor, commercial purchasing agent, and/or holder of a valid resale certificate.

Can I visit your showroom without a design professional?
Anyone can visit; we will be happy to show you around and answer your questions. Professionals often send their clients in alone to pre-shop or review products previously selected for them. Unfortunately nothing can leave the showroom without professional documentation. Because we are a wholesale showroom, our clients naturally get a different level of service than consumers.

What if I'm not interested in hiring a design professional?
There are several buying services in the design center area who can facilitate your one-time purchase. Since we are a high-end trade showroom dealing in luxury products, we highly recommend professional services to avoid costly mistakes. Buying services typically do not offer comprehensive design services. If you are completely comfortable with making unaided choices a buying service gives you access to our lines.

Can I try a rug before buying it?
Our clients can borrow any rug or sample from our inventory for 5 working days. As a consumer you should want to see it in it's intended location before purchasing or placing an order.

I can't afford a handmade area rug. Do you offer other options?
We do a complete fabrication service. You choose the carpet, edge finish and size, and in a few weeks your made-to-order fabricated rug arrives at our showroom. These rugs are made from wool, sisal, seagrass, nylon, and other fibers. We offer a wide variety of finishing choices and all work is done at a local workroom to your specifications. A slightly more expensive option is a custom machine-made rug in your choice of colors and patterns. These look very similar to hand-tufted rugs, but at a fraction of their price. These rugs can also be made for wall-to-wall installation!

Do you sell rug pads?
Based on the rug type, we offer 3 choices of pad. All pad is stocked at our showroom and cut-to-fit - usually within 24 hours. We're happy to provide pads for any rug - even if bought from our competitors.
